SCBS10: New programmable differential thermostat suitable for the automatic control of the fluid temperature in a solar circuit. It detects the difference in temperature between the solar panel and the sensor located on the bottom of the storage tank. When the measured value exceeds the programmed threshold ΔT, the thermostat switches ON the circulation pump.
The thermostat features:
- 2 relay outputs: OUT1 (water storage tank differential) and OUT2 (ON/OFF boiler, versions with boiler sensor).
- 2 or 3 PTC/NTC sensor configurable inputs (panel sensor + water storage tank bottom + top – optional);
- 2 configurable alarm levels:
- 1 “solar panel freezing alarm”: the circulator pump switches ON in order to transfer the heated exchange fluid from the solar panel to the water storage tank and prevent the panel from frost damages.
- 1 “storage tank bottom overheating alarm”: the circulator pump switches OFF to avoid the solar heated fluid further increases the storage tank temperature.
The device can work in manual ON/OFF mode. That is very useful during the heating plant test procedure because you can switch ON/OFF the circulator pump on demand, no matter the detected temperature.
